This is a critical analysis of Polanski’s film.  It commends Polanski for adapting this film for a younger audience, and it mentions the omission of the character connections.

This article criticizes the fact that Polanski omitted the plotline of Oliver's mother.  It also expands on the ideas that the film lacks urgency, and that Barney Clark, the, character of Oliver, does not portray Oliver well.

 This book contains four of Dickens’s great works condensed to fit in a one volume-novel.  It captures the main focus of Oliver Twist  but is shortened and adapted for audiences today.
